All accepted abstracts (orals and posters), but also papers covering the topics of the Seminar are invited to be submitted to the Special Issue in the Gels (ISSN: 2310-2861). Gels is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal on physical and chemical gels. Gels (Impact Factor 4.432, *ranks Q1 in “polymer science” category*) is published monthly online by MDPI. Details on the submission will communicated during the Seminar, online on the MDPI website (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/gels/special_issues) and in a separate e-mail in early October.

CONFERENCE SCOPE

The aerogel community invites scientists, engineers, students, and industrial partners working with or interested in learning about aerogels to the premiere international conference on the subject. Our next 6th International Seminar on Aerogels will take place physically in Hamburg 28-30 September 2022. We welcome contributions on any and all topics related to aerogels including synthesis, characterization, and applications in various fields. Our growing community is eager to host contributions from all fields and from all over the world. We are looking forward to meeting you in Hamburg!

During the conference, we will offer you the possibilty to visit our labs. For this, you can choose between two timeslots:

– Before the Conference Start: 27th September, 17:00 (Click here to participate)

– At the End of the Conference: 30th September, 15:30 (after closing) (Click here to participate)

Additionally, we would like to offer the possibility for a Get-Together Meeting (self-pay event) on the 27th September, at 18:00 in the restaurant Schweinske (Lüneburger Str. 2, 21073 Hamburg, https://schweinske.de/standorte/harburg-city)
